A THERAPY BOAT FOR THE BAY AREA

(because no one impacted by cancer should spend more time in a hospital than they have to)

Mission:
To provide custom palliative care with integrated, on-the-water therapy programs that put patients and caregivers facing cancer and terminal illness back in the driver’s seat

PROGRAM OFFERINGS

We’re re-imagining what palliative care means and when it begins

Historically, cancer care has been limited to pain management and treats only the patient, with hospice being introduced in the final stages once quality of life has diminished. Little is customized, support groups infrequent and caregivers are experiencing burnout, yet studies have shown that patients who receive palliative care live longer compared to those who don’t.

Two patients with the same disease often can have very different priorities, hence the need for a custom, integrated approach for those facing a malignant prognosis, so that they may maximize the time they have left with the ones they love.

CANCER DOESN'T CARE WHO YOU ARE

In 2024, it is estimated that 193,880 Californians will be diagnosed with cancer, which is equivalent to over 22 new cases every hour.

QUALITATIVE CARE WITH QUANTITATIVE RESULTS

  • Integrated wellness increases patient comfort, encourages independence and improves quality of life

  • Early palliative care improves patient outcomes and can bridge gaps for unconventional end of life planning

  • Alleviates short and long term caregiver burnout or PTSD for the entire family unit

CUSTOM, PERSONALIZED SUPPORT
(AND MORE OF IT)

  • Targeted programs by cancer type and relation to the patient

  • Builds community & ongoing support systems with others facing a similar prognosis

  • Saves valuable time combining professional support for the entire family (simultaneous caregiver, patient and/or adolescent sessions)

OUTSIDE HOSPITAL SETTING

  • Intimate, home-like alternative for patients to rest in between treatment appointments

  • Breaks routine with quiet time away from loved ones to create legacy content

  • Provides a safe, naturally therapeutic environment and welcomed respite from vinyl floors and fluorescent lighting (+ without the triggers of exclusive home care, which can be stifling)
